Looking out for storms later on today. Dave murphy and matt pelman filling in for karen. Cloud covering in from the west. Well probably see some early sunshine and then a frontal boundary is going to be streaking right threw toward us and during the afternoon in particular there is a chance of some of this shower activity to move in and in the warm and humid air mass today it could trigger a drenching downpour producing shower or thunderstorm at some point. Best chance of that is later this afternoon but like yesterday we could have little bits and pieces of this popping up during the morning. 78 degrees in philadelphia right now, 76 in wilmington, 76 trenton, 71 in allentown and mid 70s down on the boardwalks. It is very humid out there again. Dewpoints up around 70 degrees or higher and that is what we call oppressive humidity so like the last couple of days you got to take it easy out there. 76 by 6 oclock, 81 by 8 oclock, warm and humid partly cloudy to start out with a little bit of that sun coming in from the eastern horizon. Its not 812 degrees by 9 oclock. Well be about 81 and then 85 degrees by noon. It may feel like that with the humidity. 89 is todays high well hit that at 3 oclock. In the afternoon and early evening a drenching spotty shower or thunderstorm is possible and you want to slow it down, matt pelman, because as you know, being a traffic guy, those drenchers can really back up the storm drains in a hurry. They can cause quite the mess and im glad for one its not 812 degrees. Good morning to you, david. Good morning, everybody. Were also glad at the westbound side of the rinses has now reopened but we are patiently waiting maybe not patiently, we are waiting on the crews to clear out from the eastbound side of the vine still blocked off between this point at the schuylkill and broad street. Should be reopened any minute. Everything is opened on 95 ready for you as come southbound past allegheny headed towards the city and the ramp from the northbound side to westbound vine reopened. That was blocked overnight for construction. Tacony palmyra bridge blocked because of a bridge opening. So head for the betsy ross instead. We still have the blockage in upper darby of 69th street as katherine has been telling us because of the fire from the other day. Still have some construction other northeast extension approaching quakertown the left lane remains closed. Should be gone in a little bit. In
Egg Harbor Township
watch out for work until 7 oclock this morning, so two more hours in the southbound lanes of black mon road stot shut down at steel manville road but steel manville road is a good alternate to get around the closure on this wednesday. Matt. Thanks matt. New this morning on action news a gunman is on the run after opening fire on man in wilmington, delaware. Police say the shooting happened shortly before midnight near tenth and spruce streets. When
Police Arrived
on the scene they found a 20yearold man lying in the street with multiple gun shot wounds to the back and leg. He was rushed to christiana hospital is that in critical condition. Police are also searching for a motive for this crime. Crews in upper darby are still working this morning to clean up the scene of monday nights four alarm blaze. The action cam was on south 69th street early this morning where demolition is under way. The fire caused major damage to the payless shoe store. Other businesses hope to reopen today. Action

a deputy chief went down the well with a rope, card the boy up a ladder and then passed him off to medics. Its one of the calls where youre just amazed that this kid went through what he went through and besides the scratch i saw on his legs, he was in really good shape. The boy was taken to

Fbi agents raided fogles home in indiana yesterday morning removing electronics from the property. Two months ago the director of fogles foundation was arrested on child pornography charges. He became a subway spokesperson after shedding 245 pounds, more than 15 years ago by eating subway sandwiches. Celebrity chef paula dean is the center of another controversy. and dean is dressed like lucy. The photo was main 2011. In the statement dean says shes sorry and her social media manager posted the picture. That person has been fired. Good morning america will have much more on both of these stories coming up at 7 00 a. M. Thats after action news. Motorists will have to dig a bit deeper to pay for travel on the pennsylvania turnpike. The
Turnpike Commission
is raising tolls by 6 percent beginning on january 3rd and plans to impose fare increases yearly until 2044 which we wont be driving cars by then im sure. [laughter] increases will range from three to 6 percent. Easy pass motorists already pay lower tolls. 2044 well have space ships. The rates for hover cars will be double. [laughter] the baby hovering a little bit above the road surface if we get a heavy downpour. Storm tracker6 live double scan shows you were dry for the morning commute. The afternoon could be a different story. A couple showers north of philadelphia. We wont expect those into philadelphia until probably in the afternoon. We have warm and humid conditions again. Might be a little bit of early sun coming up over the horizon a bit later. Theres center city. The clouds high enough to see the tops of the sky scrapers which is nice. 78 with high humidity. 71 in allentown, 76 in wilmington, 76 in trenton and mid 70s down along the boardwalksboardwalks. I can see that hair frizzing up with the high humidity. The morning mainly dry. Yesterday we did have a couple of little specs of precipitation that opened up here and there and in some cases they prude isolated five minute downpours. You could see that during the morning but it looks like most of our action is going to be later today, by 4, 5 oclock you will see some of this popping up and notice how in this humid air mass where these showers and thunderstorms to pop they could produce drenching downpours. That would be the issue. Not everybody sees them but those that do will want to slow it down. By 9 oclock looks like were beginning to see the end of that. The big issue today from anything that does form would be downpours mainly in the afternoon and evening heavy rain cells leading to flash flooding and poor drainage areas where youre going to be throwing up those big splashes if youre driving too fast into that stuff. Be careful if you run into an area that has experienced some of that. Warm and humid a drenching storm not out of the question in the lehigh valley. Most of the time youll just be dealing with temps in the 80s this afternoon and warm and sticky conditions. 84 is the high down the shore. Warm and humid. There is the possibility of a thunderstorm here as well. So, if you hear a rumble of thunder or see the skies starting to look threatening and youre on the beach you get off the beach cause thats not a good place to be what with lightning always a possibility from storms. And in philadelphia warm and humid, a spotty drencher, a high of around 89 degrees. Winds five to 10 miles per hour. Overall not all that strong today. As we rolled through the day you can see how we do get up into the upper 80s for most of the afternoon. Our high of 89 probably around 3 oclock and by the way tomorrow also looks humid and there could be some more of these drenchers around. Your exclusive accuweather 7day 89, heavy downpours possible here and there as we go through the afternoon and evening. Thursday humid with some afternoon storms also possible, 87 degrees the high there. Then finally on friday we get out of this pattern. Frontal boundary pushes away from us. Its warm with a high of 86. But much less humid and saturday also looks like a really good day. Should be great for fireworks night at ppl park with the union. Then on sunday the humidity builds back in. We get hot and it looks like sunday monday and tuesday some thunderstorms around. Thats a summer forecast. We do it all over again. Fantastic. Always magical to reach that midway point, isnt it . Yes halfway through the week. Getting over the hump on this wednesday and so far it doesnt look too terrible on the roadways. Well take that i guess. Were here in bensalem bucks county along route one the super high way. Headlights coming southbound right by the pennsylvania turnpike headed down towards woodhaven road. If youre headed northbound on route one up around
