Yeah, basically it was a traffic jam in the upper part of the atmosphere. As harvey made landfall friday night at 10 00 p. M. , further down closer towards Corpus Christi the upper level of the atmosphere had know steering currents so it just sat there and now it has moved back down over the open waters of the gulf of mexico, not expected to strengthen into a stronger Tropical Storm but what its doing is continuously churning and pulling in that moisture out of the gulf of mexico and as you can see houston all points to the east to new orleans still stealing with buckets of rainfall as that remnant low and that Tropical Storm continues tom wind up over the gulf. In fact, weve nearly seen 40inches of rain in dayton, texas. Walter, about 35inches of rainfall. I mean thats over 3 feet in parts of texas. South houston over 30inches of rain, bay to you town 27 and Houston International airport close to 25inches of rainfall.
