Temperatures as we look at midday numbers we are warmer then we were all of yesterday, and it is only midday. Numbers are responding with this sunshine here, and we have lost that normally component to the wind, jet stream start to go lift to the north, and that is opening up the door to milder temperatures, across the carolinas and virginias. 40 degrees right now in allentown and reading. Fortythree in philadelphia. Thirtyseven in the poconos. Fortyfive in millville. Fortyfour in cape may. The closeup shot here on Satellite Six with action radar we have Clear Conditions all area north of the pennsylvania turnpike, and some sitting a few high level cloud here in the city and especially south ande but this will continue to thin out, over the next few hours. Most of us will see a good deal of sunshine here rest of the way. Wider view shows mixed precipitation out to the northwest, mainly through Southern Michigan and northern portions of the ohio valley, all that will lift north up into the Southern Province of canada and upstate new york today. We wont be impact by that this afternoon but area of low pressure same area of low pressure responsible for that little batch of moisture will swing through here first thing tomorrow morning. So, for today, cloud, sun, turning milder with the high of 48 degrees. Then we will get into tomorrow morning, as the low pulls off the coast, it could produce a round of patchy drizzle for city of philadelphia and immediate surrounding suburbs but it is moisture that gets in here quick enough lehigh veil and poconos could start as a mixed bag of sleet and freezing rain and that could create slick spots up there. I will be back in a few minutes with more detail with the accu weather seven day forecast, guys. Chris, thank you. You can keep track of any drizzle heading our way tomorrow morning and our chilly temperatures plus the rest of the accu Weather Forecast by heading to our web site at six abc. Com. You see a few people starting to the georgias long the sidewalks, a that white basket , there is some doves in there released in support as well but then, coming down the road right now from the hospital you can see all of those First Responders, fire trucks, e ms trucks coming down, they have their lights on, but no sirens, and they were lining up just a few minutes ago, in a masonic temple and we were there for that lets take a look. Reporter gathering is sign of many things like respect, honor just to name a few. Dozens of local Fire Department trucks and e ms crews are gathering to ride by st. Lukes hospital to support wounded Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Corporal Seth Kelly. It started with a Facebook Post suggesting idea by fire lieutenant bob with the lower mount bethel fire company. Just the support to tell them that were behind them all the way to make sure that he recovers 100 percent through this. Reporter First Responders hearsay they had to do something for Corporal Kelly. Were just going to the hospital silently. We just want to say hey were here we support you, you know, were here, what is happening to you is terrible. Reporter the lieutenant knows Corporal Kelly and his family personally. Very nice people, very friendly people, nice to talk to. See them on the road they will wave to you. Nine vehicles including a tractor trailer collided around 12 30 in the southbound lanes near south matlock streets, after the trash the tractor trailer caught fire, one person died, two others were hospitalized with non life threatening injuries. There was cars every where, it was just a lot, just cars every where, it seemed like someone just sprinkled cars. This is terrible. I have never seen one this bad crews work late in the night, clean up the debris and those frozen turning that is were inside of the tractor trailer. The crash remains under investigation, and again, route 202 is back opened this morning. Well, now in delaware news room toby keith is heading to the delaware state fair. Ninth annual lemon run philadelphia 5k run walk was held, in Fairmount Park this morning. The event hosted by Alex Lemonade Stand Foundation brings athletes of all ages and abilities together to support the battle against Childhood Cancer. The course, was stroller and dog friendly, so, entire families could participate, is there little won going the kid dash right there and despite chilly weather hundreds of people laced up their shoes for this very fun event for a great cause, alex family has been champions, a champion for Childhood Cancer as they search for a cure. They have raised hundreds of millions of dollars. They are really incredible. Those kid looked great, pope eighthly dressed. You will need all that, tomorrow morning but then things will slowly start time prove during the course of the week. Lets go outside, go live on sky six from city hall camera looking at rothman ice rink there and we have folks doing ice skating this afternoon, temperatures are certainly appropriate were still in the 30s and 40s throughout the area but couple things here one, temperatures are already warmer then they were all of yesterday and it is midday and two we have who that harsh windshield. We are not dealing with that either. Feels better, nonetheless on the chilly side today, high temperatures are expect to top out in the upper 40s. We should be in the upper 50s 10 degrees below average. We are concerned about patchy drizzle first thing tomorrow morning. That is not a big deal. Problem is wintry mix in the Lehigh Valley and poconos, freezing, drizzle and sleet may develop and it turns milder as we get into tuesday, wednesday, thursday, and friday. So gradual improvements with those temperatures, 43 degrees , right now in philadelphia with dew point of 21. Air is dry but winds are calm. That is part of the reason why it feels better out there pressure reading 30. 45 inches, way up there and Holding Steady no issues with the visibility. So 45 now in millville. Fortythree in philadelphia. Forty in allentown. Fortyseven in Atlantic City. That is not bad. Cape may 44. Dover 45. Poconos, yesterday, you topped out at 31 up there, and now up to 37 degrees. So temperatures are generally a good five to 10 degrees warmer then this same time yesterday, part of the reason for that is because we had cloud cover overnight that kept temperatures milder, kind of act as an atmosphere blanket and two, the general direction of the wind flow has shifted more southeasterly direction instead of northerly component and that shuts off arctic air. Those two reasons combined part of the reason why we are feeling so much better right now. All right. Heres Satellite Six with action radar, cloud beginning to push by to the southe. Skies brightening up to the northwest. Then we will look out here to the west we have a milk bag with some snow flying right now, believe it or not, western portions of pennsylvania, moving northward up into buffalo and then some rain, for southern, michigan and northern portions of the ohio valley. That batch of moisture will lift north and pull away from frustrates. It is not impacting our weather to day area of low pressure will slide in here overnight tonight and through the morning tomorrow and that could touch off a little bit of patchy drizzle. Heres 7 30 monday morning mainly north of the pennsylvania turnpike. Green shade obviously represent drizzle. Blue shade here represent either freezing drizzle or sleet pellets. So 34 in reading by 7 00 a. M. Allentown 34 degrees. Maybe extending as far north as the poconos, by the time we will get into 10 or 11 00 in the morning. Good news it is a fast moving system. So by lunchtime all that is long gone. Temperatures well up in the 40 s and then by 4 00 in the afternoon if you do see icing out through here, it is 44 in allentown. All melting. Philadelphia 47. Millville 50. And wildwood is 51 degrees. Cloudy, not as cold tomorrow morning as what we saw this morning. Especially what we saw saturday morning. Light, patchy drizzle possible for immediate surrounding suburbs in the city of philadelphia and then maybe a little bit of freezing drizzle and sleet for the poconos and lehigh veil. Now this is not a big deal. So if you do see it, it will be very patchy at best but it does not take much ice to create some problems out there so 45 degrees in allentown today. Reading 46. Philadelphia 48. Dover, cape may, Atlantic City all 50 degrees this afternoon. Clouding up once again overnight tonight, it is cold, temperatures dropping below freezing north and west, 29 in allentown, 30 in reading, but 35 in philadelphia, 34 in cape may. Heres the exclusive accu weather seven day forecast, so 48 degrees, cloud, sun, mixed this afternoon, patchy morning drizzle tomorrow, a round of freezing drizzle and sleet for lehigh veil and poconos, otherwise, cloud giving way to sun, 51. Tuesday mostly sunny, 52. Wednesday, thursday, friday all looking good with temperatures in the mid 50s and combination of the sun and cloud, nydia. Chris, looking good, thank you.
