Now, on the flight over here, i was sitting by some vikings fans. They told me they want us all from philadelphia, the delaware valley, Lehigh Valley, jersey shore, we come up here, they want to see us enjoy two things. Their wonderful twin cities, saint paul and minneapolis, and also they want to see the birds take down the patriots badly. Now, to add onto all this weather that we have going on right here ive been speaking with some of the locals, people working in our hotel. One man describes this blizzard that were having right now as peddlely. I know if this was happening in philadelphia we would be doing wall to wall coverage. Also, the two fans on the plane that i was talking to on the way down, we came through the clouds and once we got below the clouds and you could see the snow, in a nonchalant manner they looked at this weather and they were like this doesnt look too bad. As bob mentioned for minneapolis standards in the middle of winter its not that bad. The wind chill currently is 15 degrees out there and, yes, they are getting quite a bit of snow. This is a pretty intense storm system. That low pressure just south of minneapolis so they are clearly in the cool sector of the storm. Theyre looking at about a foot of snow. However, back here at home were in the warm sector so what im tracking for tomorrow is this rain thats moving in with a cold front and this will bring us a pretty good soaking for the first half of the day tomorrow. So, future tracker showing the rain is here in time for your morning commute. Prepare for that. Allow extra time. Take the rain gear. By 9 oclock apretty broad area of rain, perhaps even with some embedded thunder as the system pulls through and temperatures will be on the mild side. We probably make it up into the low 60s tomorrow before much cooler air arrives by midweek. The key time for the steadiest rain between 5 oclock and 1 oclock. A 15yearold female student in texas was injured in a shooting in her High School Cafeteria this morning. A 16yearold young man also a student there was taken into custody. It happened at italy high school in a small town south of dallas. The injured student was airlifted to the hospital. Officials say the shooter left school right after opening fire but was quickly found and taken into custody. No word on a relationship between the two and we dont yet know any status on the females condition. Reporting live in center city, Annie Mccormick channel6 action news. A frankford doughnut Shop Employee was confronted by two thieves. When she tried to get away one of them shot her. Tonight authorities are hoping Surveillance Video will help them identify the suspect. Action News Reporter Wendy Saltzman live at that scene for us tonight t wendy. Reporter monica, the doughnut shop is closed down today, the shutters were pulled down and pad locked. This as police are seeking the publics help to track down the two men police say almost killed that employee yesterday afternoon. The Surveillance Video shows the seconds before the Armed Robbery at tasty donuts on pratt street in the frankford section of philadelphia. You see two males make their way into the store, one is wearing a mask. He pulls out money and orders a doughnut as the other stands guard. Then the terrifying happens. The video shows one of the suspects brandishes a black handgun. He appears to grab the employees arm demanding money from the register and then slides over the counter as employees fled to the back of the store, police say the offender fired at them. One of these cowards actually shot one of the workers as she was trying to run out the back. Reporter police say the two suspects got just 500 from a bucket under the counter before fleeing the scene. The 38yearold female victim was lying on the floor and suffered a gunshot wound to her back. Right now i believe shes going to survive her injuries. Its still early. Reporter but thats little comfort to this neighboring Business Owner who asked us not to show his face because he fears being the next target. We rarely have anything like this happen at least on our block but, you know, this area has been very heavily protected. You always see cops patrolling. Reporter it frequents the doughnut shop and describes the worker as very kind and nice. Shes very easygoing so, you know, its terrible what happened. Reporter the video shows a bystander watching as the men run by. Police hope by releasing the video someone can help them identify the suspects. Hopefully the video will be enough that anyone who recognizes these individuals as they exited the store and will be able to help us with that. Reporter that employee was transported to Jefferson Torresdale hospital in Critical Condition. Now, police are asking if you have any information, please contact northeast detectives. Philadelphia police are hoping to identify a man and woman caught on camera following a postal worker and then trying to steal deliveries from the person. They say the thieves did this at least twice back on december 28th, then again on january 2nd. They took packages from homes on the 2200 block of south ninth street and then on the 900 block of tree street. Anyone with information is asked to call the authorities. They health check tonight.
