Eagles and the patriots anything and everything and a lot of questions about super bowl lii. Yeah, it will be like a workout, a mental workout with all the questions from the media. We feel like groupies. We follow the team everywhere. Only the action cam was there late this morning as the team returned back to the team

their workout at the nearby university of minnesota in bloomington. Several players were in shorts and tshirts. They are not bothered by the frigid temperatures of minnesota. Its a total team effort here at 6abc. Sharrie williams caught up with fletcher cox and asked him about staying focused and fresh. I feel like we still a long way out. The thing about this game if everybody use their energy up on today, then theres nothing left in the tank for sunday. I feel like the guys everybody will do a great job and i do a good job of keeping everybody calm making sure the guys are staying focused and make sure they get prepared. We here for one reason and thats to win the football game. Reporter the game plan, is it intact or is there more to do in the coming days . Weve had two weeks to get ready for this and, you know, we cant just as far as two weeks out, i think its hard to really stay focused for two weeks honest. but king of prussia has finished there big addition, so well, who said size matters. All right, guys, sharrie williams, brian taff, i apologize for being petty but whats happening there as eagles fans are about to invade . Reporter all right, jim, youre not being petty at all. You know, its just maybe a friendly rivalry, thats what well call it. The mall of america, it is iconic, it is huge, its massive and its large enough to cater to the super bowl but also to play as the headquarters for the thousands of members from the media who are here for this big event. Yeah, of course all attention will shift to the u. S. Bank stadium in just a matter of days but for the next several days, this will be the focus of all the attention and perhaps because of that rivalry with king of prussia mall or because the super bowl is arriving this place got even more super sized. This mall underwent an expansion of its own putting in a 3. 2 million square feet of leasable area and to put that into perspective that means three u. S. Bank stadiums would fit inside. Its home to more than 500 stores and, yes, its an economic power house. On any given day, enough shop ertz come in and out of this mall that it would qualify, get this, as the
Third Largest
city in the state of minnesota and they spend each shopper spending an average of 162 bucks when they come here. That adds up. Half a billion shoppers have streamed in these doors since they opened in 1992, thats 44

a year, spending just about 500 million and, yes, this is the single biggest tourist attraction in all of the midwest. But guess what, this week, were happy not to be the center stage but rather to be the backdrop to an either bigger show, the showdown sunday night eaglespatriots super bowl lii. Yeah, and of course with the birds being in the super bowl there is a lot being said about eagles fans. You know, the attitude, the distinct behaviors the passion as we like to describe it. We talked to locals about how they plan to treat eagles fans and also what they think about eagles fans. Ive heard theyre pretty loyal and theyre a pretty strong fan base. Also i love that rocky, too, maybe they embody that spirit. I hope minneapolis fans are kind and generous and helpful and take the higher road and welcome. Its unfortunate but i know all eagles fans arent that rowdy, right, so ive never heard anything bad about philadelphia in general, so eagles fans, you know, come on by, you know, well buy you a beer. . Vernon, whats the latest on this . Reporter good evening, jim. Philadelphia police have still not identified the arlington, virginia suspect who died at police hands this morning. There was chaos after a pedestrian was run over by what police and witnesses describe as what appeared to be a deliberate attempt to run over a man who was walking along just off broad street. This deadly incident from 7 30 this morning took place at broad and bigler. It is now under intense scrutiny by the police department. A 31yearold virginia man who was driving this black honda was shot and killed by an off duty officer who tried to subdue him. It happened after the still unidentified man appeared to deliberately run over a pedestrian. Police say the off duty officer confronted the suspect. Police say

shows the two in a violent wrestling match, then the officer pulling his
Service Weapon
and firing at least 10 times killing the suspect. Witnesses heard the detective identify himself as an officer and telling the male to get on the ground. Suddenly on video, you see the detective draw his weapon and you see the male is charging the detective. They got into a violent struggle where the male struck the detective several times. During this struggle, several shots were fired. The male was hit several times and was later pronounced dead at the presbyterian hospital. Reporter jim, the commissioner says hes very concerned about the number of shots the officer fired at this suspect. It does not appear that the suspect was armed in anyway. The suspect, police say, was not armed. The officer was injured. Multiple injuries in the face, back of the head and shoulder. took the stand today in the trial of edward archer. Hes the man accused of ambushing hartnett on a
West Philadelphia
street in 2016. Hartnett recalled the moment he was shot, he told jurors i knew he hit my artery and i was losing blood. Despite the injury hartnett chased the attacker as he called for help. Hartnett remembered thinking the responding officers needed to hurry up because he was in bad shape. Archer is accused of attacking hartnett in the name of isis. Washington is gearing up for

After 26 years on the job, parents say he has learned the neighbors of countless children and has become known for his eagles pride. I want to congratulate him the morning after the eagles won the nfc championship and i went up on the bus and he was literally in tears he was so happy. Reporter parent amy smith and her husband started a go fund me for mr. Gary and she says within five days they raised more than 5,000 to cover two super bowl tickets and airfare dozens of parents and students gathered to presents him with the tickets and personalized jerseys for him and his wife. We are sending you you and a guest to the super bowl. [cheers and applause] surprised. I just had no idea. No idea. I had so many followers over the years. Reporter mr. Temperatures right now not too cold yet but that colder air will be arriving overnight. 42 in philadelphia currently, trenton 41, cape may 39 and reading right now 41 degrees. So, satellite and radar showing its kind of complicated over the next 24 hours. A coastal low moving away but theres also a spin in the atmosphere whats known as a surface trough moving in from the midwest and thats what will bring us the intermittent light snow during the day tomorrow. So, future tracker showing wee hours of the morning around 3 oclock this is when some of that rain will be changing over to snow right along the coast. Elsewhere just dealing with some clouds. As we head around 8 oclock in the morning, some of that snow from that surface trough will start across the far northwestern suburbs. Temperatures generally right below freezing. Around lunchtime this is when the snow makes it to philadelphia. Above freezing so theow is going have trouble sticking. By about 4 30 it starts to move across the coast so again, not looking at a big event, general timing mid morning until midafternoon. Temperatures in philadelphia will be above freezing, so, again, minimal travel impact. However, the far northwest suburbs where its colder where you have that

As we head around 8 oclock in the morning, some of that snow from that surface trough will start across the far northwestern suburbs. Temperatures generally right below freezing. Around lunchtime this is when the snow makes it to philadelphia. Above freezing so theow is going have trouble sticking. By about 4 30 it starts to move across the coast so again, not looking at a big event, general timing mid morning until midafternoon.
