We will go in tighter on street level with storm track er six and we have light snow falling, there in philadelphia, and if you look off to the south we have got some snow across interior sections of south jersey, heavier bands of snow setting up in delaware but milk precipitation farther south. Would i not be surprised in a couple hours from now these areas to the south of philadelphia, mixed over and eventually change over, to rain. We did see plow trucks standing by on the roads as we made our way up here to doyletown from the station. Now, with snow on the way penndot officials are encouraging folks to avoid any unnecessary travel, on the roads, on this saturday night but if you do have to be out and about, take your time, once that snow starts to hit the ground. Reporter now, walter here it is just picking up about 20 minutes ago it looked like rain on the windshield but just about five minutes ago, it started to sound like ice here on the pavement. You can see behind me we are at penndot salt yard at oregon and swanson in south philadelphia. You can see, that dump truck right there is already full, all the way to the right you can see a front end loader prepared to dump more salt into waiting trucks that have been here all afternoon. Heres some video from the salt yard, it was midday, that they began to get their salting operations together. That is how penndot says that they will tackle this precipitation, whatever comes our way. They have about 400 trucks, at the ready, they are Incident Command Center has already been activated and at this point they will begin salting initially and then they will see what type of precipitation that we will get, on area roadways. They say that one of the things that is working hopefully in their favor is that the roadways are warmer, because of that, whatever falls, hopefully will fall back as rain.
