The incident occurred on Chester Road in Lavister, near Rossett, at about 8pm on Thursday. Police say it saw two men approach two teenage girls and allegedly attempt to "unclip its lead", before the girls ran way with their dog. North Wales Police is investigating the incident and is urging anyone that saw two men acting suspiciously in the area to call 101 quoting reference number Z016458. In a similar incident in Pentre Broughton on Thursday evening, João Almeida says he was walking his dog on the high street when he was approached by two youths. They asked him if the dog was his and where he lived. When he said he's not telling them, they allegedly became aggressive - saying 'give me your dog now', and threatening to punch him.
