New this morning waiting to learn the identities of three people who were killed in a Small Plane Crash in indiana that plane was headed to frederick, maryland. The single end jenn cessna crashed saturday night in oldenburg, indiana about 70 miles southeast of indianapolis. The Frederick News post says the plane was owned by company that lists address in potomac, maryland. In addition to the three People Killed a dog also died a second dog did survive but is getting some care from a vet. The worlds Busiest Airport finally fixed its power issue. Thousands are back up because of major delays. It comes at the worse possible time right in the thick of the Christmas Travel season. It looks like things are getting a little better this morning. But it really just depends on each individual case. Many travelers we talked to said theyre very frustrated and disappointed not able to get through online or on the phone with delta. Delta seems to be bearing the brunt of this because atlanta is their husband. And so there are more than thee hundred delta Flights Canceled today and a handful of them here out of Reagan National. But the problem was a lot of people showed up here to the airport this morning after being rebooked yesterday only to find they had yet another flight canceled. So really tough going for some people, and it all because of this power outage yesterday. The entire airport was plunged into darkness. It was an underground electrical fire in the tunnels and that knocked out not only the main power but the backup power as well. Then there were toxic fumes and thats what kept power crews from being able to access the te and passengers were stranded the terminals and on the tar tarmacs. As we mention, atlantas airport is the busiest in the country. Busiest in the world in fact. 1800 nights canceled yesterday and delta really bearing the brunt of most of those disruptions. Back out live here now we talk to lot of people this morning who were trying to just figure out how they can get home including one couple who told us they had a family trip in atlanta yesterday. They were trying to get back and talked to us about what that was like in the Atlanta Airport yesterday. We walk in, and everything is black. You know, the escalator is done and you couldnt see anything. It was like dark. No lights. Had to carry our bags up to the second floor. And we sat there for, um, four hours. We got there at about quarter to 2 00. 4 00 oclock flight. For a 4 00 oclock flight and knowing everything was dark, we were just sitting and waiting anticipating the lights to go on on. Reporter so how did they get back here to Reagan National airport . Well they rent add 12 Passenger Van with the rest of their family and took a 14 hour drive to get back here to Reagan National airport. The rest of the family with the Young Children they live in the fort belvoir area they were able to just drive home but the grandparents there now theyre waiting to try to get a flight back home to connecticut. Were wishing them and all those passengers who get held up in this good luck and good luck with their travels. Delta saying its waving onedame change fee for passengers through the 19th thats tomorrow but we did hear from one family that they werent able to get on a flight to atlanta until thursday.
