The Wyoming Department of Corrections has released a COVID-19 update on the number of positive active cases found in the facilities. As of Friday May 7, the number of confirmed positive COVID-19 cases identified in routine surveillance samplings conducted during the previous week was one case, identified in an inmate incarcerated in the Wyoming State Penitentiary located in Rawlins. The WDOC operates five facilities in the Cowboy State, Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution located in Torrington, the Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton, the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp in Newcastle and the Wyoming Women’s Center located in Lusk. There were no cases found among the staff at any of the WDOC facilities.
