The Finance Commission recommends share of states in central taxes at 41%, the same as FY21. Singh says that Budget 2021 brought about a tectonic shift in policymaking but adds that fiscal glide path of 4.5% by FY26 seems quite elevated given that we are in the midst of the pandemic.
