New Delhi: The 15th Finance Commission s final recommendations for the period between 2021 and 2026 have been tabled in the Indian parliament. The Finance Commission recommends share of states in central taxes at 41%, the same as FY21. ET Now’s Ruchi Bhatia caught up with the Chairman of 15th Finance Commission NK Singh and began by asking him about the budget, the call for restructuring the FRBM act, higher health spends and a lot more.
Singh says that Budget 2021 brought about a tectonic shift in policymaking but adds that fiscal glide path of 4.5% by FY26 seems quite elevated given that we are in the midst of the pandemic. ....
