WOOD RIVER — The Madison County Health Department on Thursday announced it was ending 2020 with a total of 365 COVID-19 related deaths in the county. The health department reported three new COVID-19 related fatalities on Thursday, a woman in her sixties and two men in their 70s and 80s. It also announced 272 new confirmed and probable virus cases, for a total count of 20,629 cases during 2020. According to the health department, 1,433 tests also were reported Thursday for a year-long total of 191,959.
