Your "passport" and your "citizenship" means you are cared for as an Australian before anything else and you should not be thrown in jail for trying to come home, according to Assistant Editor at The West Australian Jenna Clarke.
"I think Australians are getting COVID fatigue and I guess we have been so safe for so long and the government at all levels ... have done a wonderful job keeping us all safe," she told Sky News host Catherine McGregor.
"But I think when it comes down to it your passport and your citizenship means that you are taken care of as an Australian first and foremost and you shouldn't be thrown in jail by trying to come home to your own country.
