Fletcher III were inseparable and in love, according to Chakayla's mother. The young West Point couple was killed together as they drove to work Tuesday morning. Spurlock family photo Chakayla, 20, was driving a 1999 Honda Civic south on Farmers Drive in New Kent at about 6:25 a.m. when she hit a patch of black ice, Leslie Spurlock said Virginia State Police told her when they informed her of her daughter's death.
