Younger people could be given a "mix and match" dose of two different Covid vaccines after Oxford launched a trial to see whether it is safe to give an alternative booster jab in case of supply problems.
Oxford University has begun recruiting for a new trial to test whether the AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines can be given together as part of a two-dose regime. Results are expected by June, which could allow younger people who receive their jab later in the year to be given two different vaccines.
