Chief Executive, Declan McGeown, presented a cheque for £6,594.25 to Air Ambulance representative Grace Williams at Woodlands Juvenile Justice Centre in Bangor.
Declan McGeown said, “This is a tremendous achievement by our staff and the young people with whom we work and it is all the more remarkable given the Covid-19 constraints we have all faced throughout the past year. “Our charity partnership arrangement creates a win-win situation. “It provides an opportunity for our young people to give back to the community through various fundraising activities, while Air Ambulance has also benefited through the receipt of much-needed funds.”
Staff and young people from across the Agency’s teams in Belfast, Ballymena, Newtownards, Banbridge, Enniskillen and Foyle held various fundraising events ranging from coffee mornings and street collections to raffles and cake sales.
