ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan and former Malaysian prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad exchanged views on the grave situation in Palestine on Sunday. Imran Khan received a telephone call from Dr Mahathir Mohamad, says a Prime Minister Office statement.
Imran khan and Dr Mahathir exchanged views on the grave situation in Palestine and they condemned the Israeli aggression and expressed solidarity with the innocent and defenceless Palestinians. The prime minister strongly condemned the attacks on innocent worshippers in Al-Aqsa Mosque and air strikes on Gaza.
The two leaders underscored the need for the international community to take urgent steps to halt the ongoing attacks, protect civilians and facilitate a just and lasting solution based on UN resolutions and two-state vision. The two leaders greeted each other on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr. ....

OIC pushes UNSC for ‘swift’ end to Israeli attacks
The Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in their emergency meeting on Sunday condemned what they described as “barbaric” Israeli attacks on Palestinians and urged the UN Security Council to act swiftly to bring an end to the atrocities.
The top diplomats from the 57-member bloc of Muslim countries held a virtual session against the backdrop of the ongoing Israeli military operation against Palestinians.
The participants of the meeting reviewed the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, the escalating aggression by the occupying Israeli forces, the forced eviction of Palestinian families from their homes in East Jerusalem, the killing and maiming of civilians and the growing barbaric attacks on the Gaza Strip. ....

Qureshi in OIC meeting demands immediate end to ‘senseless’ Israeli aggression
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Sunday, while reaffirming Pakistan’s abiding support for the Palestinian people, called for immediate protection of Palestinians against “senseless Israeli aggression”, implementation of United Nations resolutions, and accountability of Israel’s crimes against humanity.
Addressing the virtual open-ended emergency meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) executive committee to discuss Israel’s aggression against Palestine, the foreign minister stressed that all necessary steps must be taken for stopping the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and their properties.
He said the international community must protect the Palestinians against the blatant and illegal use of force and flagrant violations of human rights. ....

Why is Gaza, one of the most densely populated places in the world, blurry on Google Maps?
It s an issue that has been highlighted by researchers using open-source, publicly available information - including mapping data - to locate attacks and document the destruction.
In fact, much of both Israel and the Palestinian territories appear on Google Earth as low-resolution satellite imagery, even though higher-quality images are available from satellite companies.
It s barely possible to see the cars in Gaza City.
Compare that with Pyongyang, the secretive capital of North Korea, where the cars are sharply defined and it s possible to make out individual people. ....
