Identical twin sisters, ranking first and second in their senior class as graduation approaches, have received over 200 offers from colleges around the world and amassed more than $24 million in scholarships.
Destiny and Denisha Caldwell, 18, are graduating with 5.0 GPAs as valedictorian and salutatorian of Scotlandville Magnet High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Yet far from competing with each other, the twins chose to support one another on their journey to the top, reported Good Morning America (GMA).

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine unveiled a lottery system Wednesday to entice people to get Covid-19 shots, offering a weekly $1 million prize and full-ride college scholarships in a creative bid to overcome the vaccine hesitancy that remains a stubborn problem across the nation.

Two UC Davis Juniors Receive Goldwater Scholarships

Two University of California, Davis, juniors are among the winners of the nation’s premier undergraduate award of its type in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering.
Maya Mysore of Rocklin, California, and Keely Ji of Sunnyvale, California, have been named Goldwater Scholars. The scholarship, which provides up to $7,500 for college expenses, honors the late U.S. Sen. Barry Goldwater and is designed to encourage outstanding students to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering. It was awarded to only 410 of 1,256 applicants nationwide for the 2020-21 academic year.
Both Mysore, a biomedical engineering major, and Ji, majoring in cell biology, aim to earn M.D./Ph.D. degrees. While their research areas are different, the two scholars share similar goals to inform their research with clinical practice. KPRC 2 and Texas Mattress Makers are surprising 20 deserving high school seniors with scholarships. All students selected for scholarships have been nominated by their high schools.
This academic year was particularly challenging because of the pandemic, but these students still rose above and beyond in school.
The 14th $2,500 Senior Scholarship was awarded to Puneet Basra from Cy-Ranch High School in the Cy-Fair Independent School District. She has been attending classes virtually and has been able to maintain a 6.3 GPA. She is ranked 235 in her class out of 804. ....
