Kathmandu [Nepal], May 11 (ANI): Major opposition parties of the Nepali parliament have started preparations to form a new government after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli lost the vote of confidence at Lower House on Monday.
A coalition of more than two parties representing in the parliament, who will form Nepal s new government, have already started consultations over the next leadership.
Majority of the lawmakers who were present today have rejected the Prime Minister s vote of confidence. The House has decided that KP Sharma Oli shall not remain in the post any longer. In order to make a new government, all the political parties would make attempts and we are confident that the nation would get a new Prime Minister, Bal Krishna Khand, o ....

Kathmandu: Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli lost a trust vote in the House of Representatives on Monday, in a fresh setback to the embattled premier seeking to tighten his grip on power after the CPN (Maoist Centre) led by Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda withdrew support to his government.
Prime Minister Oli secured 93 votes in the lower house of parliament during a special session convened on the directives of President Bidya Devi Bhandari. ....

Kathmandu, May 10 (EFE).- Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli lost a confidence vote in parliament on Monday, throwing the country into a political crisis amid a dangerous surge of coronavirus infection.
Of the 232 lawmakers present in the lower house, 124 voted against Oli and 93 against him, parliament speaker Agni Sapkota said.
Fifteen stayed neutral.
“As the votes cast in favor of the motion fell short to achieve a majority of the existing strength of the House of Representatives, I hereby declare that the prime minister’s motion to seek a vote of confidence has been rejected,” Sapkota said. ....

KATHMANDU, May 10, 2021 (BSS/AFP) – Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli lost a confidence vote on Monday, triggering fresh political uncertainty just as the Himalayan nation reels from the pandemic.
Oli, 69, decided to seek a vote of confidence following months of feuding within his ruling communist party and coalition partners.
“If you want a stable parliament you should vote for the continuity of this government,” he said in his address to the legislature before the vote.
But the former political prisoner was able to secure only 93 votes in the parliament instead of the 136 needed. ....
