SHEBOYGAN - A Sheboygan woman was sentenced to two years of probation Tuesday afternoon for striking a nurse at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital.
The hearing in Sheboygan County Circuit Court Tuesday ended the case against Bao Lor, 20, who was charged with felony battery and misdemeanor disorderly conduct in February last year and pleaded no contest.
According to a criminal complaint, Lor, who was pregnant at the time, went to the hospital with stomach pain. A nurse in the emergency department later told police she was trying to help when Lor hit her.
The nurse told police Lor was upset that because Lor was pregnant, the nurse had offered her a mild pain medication. She said Lor became combative, swore at her and whipped her left hand out, hitting the nurse in the stomach. The nurse said that as she tried to back away from Lor s hospital bed, Lor also kicked her.
