New Delhi: A plea has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking directions to the Centre, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) to cancel the CBSE and ICSE Class 12 examinations.
CBSE through its letter dated April 14 had cancelled the examination for class 10 and postponed the examination for class 12.
CISCE through its circulars dated April 16 and April 19 had cancelled the examination for class 10 and postponed the examination for class 12 for an unspecified period.
The plea asked the court to set aside the CBSE and CISCE notifications of April 14, 16 and 19, 2021 issued only in respect of clauses dealing with the postponement of the Class XII examination. ....

CBSE, CISCE Class 12 exams 2021: A plea to cancel the class 12 board exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has been filed in the Supreme Court. As per reports, the plea filed by advocate Mamta Sharma requested to assess the class 12 students on the basis of objective methodology.Â
The petition highlighted, Conducting Class 12 board examination is not possible because of surging COVID-19 cases. Even online or offline examination not feasible because of unprecedented pandemic. Delay in declaration of Class 12 results will hamper students taking admission in foreign universities. Â ....
