Link between lactation and visceral and pericardial fat has been found, as they play a crucial role in reducing heart disease in breastfeeding women.
Breastfeeding affects weight gain, and so women who breastfeed will not gain more weight, which will also influences less fat buildup in the abdomen or around their heart.
As demonstrated by multiple studies over the years, women who breastfeed have a lower risk for developing cardiovascular disease and diabetes when compared to those who don t or can t. However, the mechanisms by which these risks are reduced for lactating women are still not fully understood. ....

(NEWS RELEASE) - United Supermarkets will continue to host COVID–19 vaccination clinics at United Supermarkets Arena every Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout the month of April. The clinic will offer the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine for anyone 18 and older.
All appointments for Thursday, April 8, have been filled; however, the scheduling link below will open to the next available appointment. Partnership Hopes To Improve Nursing Shortage
Mansfield will be home to a satellite campus for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Nursing. TTUHSC will expand its traditional BSN program to the area, providing a resource for new nurses critical to the operation of hospitals and clinics.
“Nurses are an integral part of the health care team, but they are in short supply here and nationwide,” said TTUHSC President Lori Rice-Spearman, Ph.D. “We’re excited for an opportunity to help meet those needs in this community through an approach that holds true to our great university’s vision: transform health care through innovation and collaboration. City officials confirm presence of COVID-19 variants in Amarillo community
During Wednesday’s COVID-19 news conference, medical professionals said they are encouraged by the recent COVID-19 trends in the community related to the number of active cases and hospitalizations. 
“When we look at these numbers, we can see that our new cases remain low, our active cases remain low, our hospitalizations are clearly low (and) there’s plenty of vaccine available,” said Scott Milton, the city’s public health authority and an associate professor at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo. 
However, even with the lower case numbers and hospitalizations, the presence of COVID-19 variants in the Texas Panhandle were confirmed during the conference. ....
