ILO becomes member of International Aid Transparency Initiative
The International Labour Organization (ILO) has become a full member of the International Aid transparency Initiative (IATI), joining a growing number of United Nation agencies and international development bodies in committing to promote greater transparency in the use of development and humanitarian resources to address poverty and crises.
By making data easily accessible and comparable, the IATI Standard supports improved accountability on the use of resources and what they achieve, which will benefit both the ILO’s constituents and the international development community more widely.
As a full IATI member from January 1 2020, the ILO will continue to strengthen its information, monitoring and reporting to IATI, as well as evaluation of progress towards achieving decent work outcomes and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ....

BT has signed a contract with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide communication services to its embassies and consulates in 120 countries. The telco will provide the ministry with WAN, LAN and wireless LAN services.
BT’s global SD-WAN (software-defined wide area network) services were launched in November 2020. The cloud-optimised managed network services are designed to expand multinational customers’ choice of software-based connectivity systems. They can be managed or co-managed remotely by the company on its new digital service platform, giving customers a single view of their entire network and a choice of management controls. ....

âThe current linear food system that is focused on productivity has supported a fast-growing population and fueled economic development. Yet, it has not eradicated different forms of malnutrition. In fact, after a period of decline, world hunger is on the rise again, trending with an aggressive increase in overweight and obesity. Moreover, the linear food system has come at great cost to our environment and is no longer fit to meet our long-term needs. Transitioning to a circular food system has been identified at a global level as an opportunity to make our food system economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable.
