East Union graduation class being split in half for ceremonies Nguyen Graduation plans are all but set for East Union High’s Class of 2021. Seniors, for now, will have a chance to sign up for one of the two of dates – Thursday, May 27, or Friday, May 28 – at Dino Cunial Field. The start times on both days are 7 p.m. Most of the Manteca Unified is scheduled to follow similar patterns of the two-day on-campus commencement exercises. The century-old Manteca High campus is currently undergoing major modernization project is the exception – MHS graduation, instead, will take place at Crossroad Grace Community Church on May 28 in an outdoor drive-in setting.

A way Manteca can get a community center & MUSD a new Calla High sooner than later PERSPECTIVE The former Lindbergh School campus on North Street currently houses Manteca Unified health services. Manteca can have a community center in place within a matter of a few years and make better use of a historic building. At the same time Manteca Unified could maximize the educational synergy potential for Manteca High and Lincoln Elementary School. There could even be additional soccer fields and baseball fields built for community use and possibly a continuation high school/adult school in town close to public transportation and a chance for the city to pocket bucks from the sale of land ideal for future high profile highway commercial use.

The clear and present threat to Ripon s sense of community: The City of Manteca

The clear and present threat to Ripon’s sense of community: The City of Manteca PERSPECTIVE City of Manteca growth will be a major factor in shaping the future of Ripon High and the rest of the Ripon school system. Ripon, more than a decade ago, repelled the barbarians at the gate. Walmart wanted to build a store a tad larger than Manteca’s in an almond orchard just north of the Flying J Travel Center. Many Ripon residents saw it as an assault on their sense of community and lifestyle. If Walmart established a beachhead for big box retailers, the reasoning was downtown was doomed, growth would surge, traffic would explode, and crime would go up.
