PIND Foundation presents blueprint on Ondo Agricultural policy, OSOPADEC

Ondo State governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, has received a blueprint from the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) on how to reposition and stimulate economic growth, employment generation and an enduring food security through the state Agricultural Policy.
Apart from this, PIND also presented blueprint on how to turn around the Ondo State Oil  Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), to enhance effective delivery of its mandate.
Speaking while presenting the recommendations to governor Akeredolu, the PIND Executive Director, Dr. Dara Akala, said the Ondo State Agricultural Policy was done in collaboration with other development partners and the Ondo State Ministry of Agriculture. ....

CAPPA launches TakeApart Nigeria Report

Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA) has launched a TakeApart Nigeria Report, titled “The Big Tobacco Allies – How tobacco companies use intermediaries to foster their corporate social responsibility initiatives and promote their image in Nigeria.”
The report which documents a series of instances where tobacco multinationals use intermediaries to foster their efforts to undermine implementation of the WHO FCTC, maps tobacco industry allies and exposes how tobacco companies use them to clean their image and grow their business.
The report, relying on surveys carried out by CAPPA across Nigeria with support from the African Tobacco Control Alliance (ATCA), exposes amongst others how tobacco multinationals undertake partnerships with the Nigerian government; how several entities organize events and implement programs that promote tobacco industry initiatives; how several entities provide technical and/or intellectual support to the ....

ATCON to host ICT stakeholders on new National Broadband Plan

The Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) has announced its plan to host the maiden edition of Virtual Structured Engagement with Key Stakeholders in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Sector on the New National Broadband Plan 2020- 2025 with a theme – Realising the new set target of 70 per cent of Broadband Penetration slated for March 25, 2021.
In a statement by the association and signed by Mr Ajibola Olude, its Executive Secretary, it said the buy-in of the various sub-groups under the membership of ATCON would be leveraged upon to ensure and guarantee that the new Nigerian National Broadband Plan 2020-2025 is adequately positioned to deliver its ultimate purposes for the generality of Nigerians more quickly and strategically. ....
