College of Nursing Hosts Pinning Ceremony for Population Health Student Ambassadors

Seton Hall University Wednesday, February 24, 2021 Tuesday, February 9. Created in Fall 2018 by Assistant Undergraduate Chair and Clinical Assistant Professor Ann Marie Sailsman, D.N.P., M.P.H., the Population Health Student Ambassador Program provides the opportunity for eligible students to represent the College in a variety of settings through servant leadership, including community engagement, mentoring, participating in recruitment, open houses and campus tours. Nursing students are invited to join the program based on their performance in the Lifespan Context for Health of Diverse Individuals and Populations course, during which students participate in required service-learning activities in surrounding communities.   This year s virtual ceremony was led by Assistant Professor Nancy Innella, Ph.D., RN, CNE, who welcomed the audience and served as the Master of Ceremonies. Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center welcomes Chandler to board of directors

Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center has added a new member to its board of directors. Amanda Chandler currently works as an account executive at Swift & Staley. Although she joins the agency as a new board member, she has previous working knowledge of the program after being a part of its volunteer base. She brings with her excitement for forging new community partnerships and collaborations, strengthening the agency’s existing volunteer base and a passion for crisis intervention. “One of the best parts about serving as a non-profit director is getting to meet the best of the best in our communities,” said Executive Director Dr. Mary Foley. “The Board of Directors of MHDCC is charged with chief governance of this incredible organization. I am so honored to welcome Amanda Chandler to our team, and we are so grateful to her for her willingness to bring her time, talents and treasures to serve the victims of domestic violence in the Purchase Region.”
