As if it s not great enough that school is cancelled, as in NO REMOTE DAY, just a pure school day off, Superintendent Rydell Harrison of Region 9 (Easton/Redding) took it a step further. He sang a snow day song to the tune of Can t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake, complete with him playing in the snow, playing the piano and yes, he does all his own singing! Whether the kids appreciate it or not, this is the kind of human that you want in your kids lives. He obviously enjoys his job and is setting a great example for the kids on how they can learn AND have fun too!

As forecast, Connecticut is contending with its first major storm of 2021. The weather system had dumped up to 16 inches of snow on parts of the state by late Monday.
“A lot of people were on the roads this morning, and I would tell you, head home,” said Gov. Ned Lamont in a message to state residents during an early news briefing. “Our schools are closed, most of the offices are closed, certainly our state offices are closed. While all of the roads are open now, let’s see what happens going forward. I would head home.”
