In a forum hosted by the DepEd Ilocos regional office, Joey Pimental, statistician of the policy, planning, and research division, said that of the total number, 30,273 enrolled in Kindergarten, 47,878 in Grade 1, 30,525 in Grade 7, and 33,351 in Grade 11. Those that preregistered were from the 2,999 schools from the four provinces of the Ilocos Region, he said. Some 86,177 were logged in Pangasinan, 12,609 in Ilocos Norte, 24,577 in Ilocos Sur, and 18,664 in La Union.
