PepsiCo has launched a new $40 million program with City Colleges of Chicago for Black and Hispanic students.
City Colleges is just one of four partners that PepsiCo is launching the program with, and the program will be expanded into 20 cities by fall, supporting 4,000 students. The program is part of PepsiCo’s more than $570 million commitment to Black and Hispanic communities. It will provide students with funding for tuition, living expenses and professional mentoring, training and work experience opportunities.
Students can apply for scholarships directly through the school of their choice within the City Colleges of Chicago.

Hold up ... before we get out here dancing in packed clubs, hanging out in crowded spaces and living like it's 2019, let's remember that we are still in a global pandemic.
Cases of coronavirus are on the rise again in Chicago, and Mayor Lightfoot attributes some of that to younger people. Not that you can't hang out and enjoy friends and family, but please make sure you continue to wear a mask, be socially distant and wash your hands frequently.
There are certain neighborhoods including Portage Park, Dunning, Lincoln Park and Old Town where younger adults are packing bars and engaging in pre-pandemic activities. Come on man, they've delayed the 'bridge phase,' where we will begin to ease into a full reopening, and with these cases on the rise again, that's not going to happen anytime soon. Remember, a pandemic has no borders so please stop rushing things and let's all be safe.

An Alabama woman was rescued by the police thanks to a bystander who witnessed a stranger trying to abduct her. The person who only identified themselves as a "citizen" called 911 and told the dispatcher they could hear the woman screaming, "he's going to kill me."
When officers from the Brookside Police Department arrived at the scene, the suspect, later identified as 
Sean Sanders of Los Angeles, fled with the woman in a white van.
The officers gave chase and opened fire on the van after Sanders tried to run over one of the deputies. Sanders stopped the van and barricaded himself in the back with the woman. He held a knife to her throat and told the officers they were going to have to kill him. They stormed the van and subdued Sanders using a stun gun.

Well at least that's what I think but it seems as though
Business Insider thinks otherwise. According to a recent poll, Chicago has been ranked number four when it comes to rudeness. Really?
Of course I'm not going to speak negatively about the city that I so love, but yup, we are number 4 when it comes to being rude. I can't really say I run across many rude people in Chi-Town, but I will say I've seen some people have some serious attitudes when it comes to commuting. But can you blame them? They spend at least two hours in traffic each day.

You might as well call Cardi B Santa C (C for Claus) because she's bringing lots of Christmas cheer to a ton of children this year.

I have been thumbing through the pages and now scrolling through articles of
Rolling Stone Magazine for years because it remains a great source of information about artists and the music industry. But fam, their latest list of the "Top 100 Greatest Singers of All Time" has me shaking my head.
First I will give props for listing the late, great Aretha Franklin as number one. That's truth. But placing Whitney Houston at number 34 blows me! What?! Whitney had one of the greatest, most powerful voices on the planet! And then Luther Vandross, who's voice was like none other, is number 54? Nah man. And how disrespectful to place Patti LaBelle at 95 -- out of 100? Really? Her range is crazy, even at 75 years old!

I cannot even believe that "Cater To You" was released 15 years ago, that's crazy! Seems like time is flying by. But for Throwback Thursday I thought of this song because fall is officially here ladies, and that means it's cuffing season lol.
I know my girls are always on their business anyway, but if you have that man that is doing what he's supposed to be doing, make sure you cater to him! Healthy relationships are good relationships.
