‘COVID Care Centres to be set up with support from local communities’ Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Health Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas has asked District Collectors to ensure that no patient is turned away from hospitals citing insufficient beds. During a video conference with Collectors of seven most affected districts, the Minister asked them to ensure that bed strength was increased in both hospitals and COVID Care Centres. “Please ensure that the results of RT-PCR tests are released within 24 hours. The functioning of the 104 call centre should be monitored daily. Beds To Be Allotted Within Three Hours Of Calling 104 Help Line, AP CM YS Jagan Apr 27, 2021, 17:25 IST AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday, said that beds should be allotted to COVID patients within three hours of calling the 104 helpline. The Chief Minister conducted a review meeting with the District Collectors and Superintendents of Police via video conference over the COVID-19 situation in the state. While instructing them he said that they should ensure that the 104 call centre functions efficiently to handle the caseload. He also issued directions over the COVID-19 preventive measures to be taken and the way forward for the free vaccination drive. Following a review meeting on the Covid-19 situation in the state, Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed officials to implement a three-tier structure for effective Covid management. As per the three-tier structure, at all district level, district collectors shall divide private hospitals permitted to treat Covid-19 patients into clusters and appoint an officer-in-charge for each of these clusters.
