To absorb co2. there are regulations on coal plants and tail pipe emissions which are very, very expensive and in many respects don t address this anyway. there are those who say we ve got to do it. they claim the emissions are causing the climate change now. these are just part and parcel of what we as humans have to do to save the planet. they do say that, and very often their solutions are incredibly expensive and will do very little. the european union has a program to spend billions and the projections are in the 2100 they will have reduced temperatures by 0.09 degrees fahrenheit. i would compare this to perhaps hiring an 18-wheel rig to carry an egg from san diego to boston. talk about china and coal emissions. they re number one and they re going to be number one. they don t seem to have any way to deal with it. that s another thing. most of these restrictions are basically the united states and western europe tying ourselves ....
Gallon in the national average. could we be in for another recession? stu varney is here with the answers. that was a fabulous graphic, wasn t it? because it really shows the chain reaction effect you can have here from only gas prices. that s precisely right. there s two points to make here. number one, the gas price spike is now. it s happening right now. that graphic just showed $3.61. that s up $0.03 just in one day. and that s up $0.09 in a week. and in california, the price went up $0.07 overnight. just over last night. up $0.07. so .1, the spike is upon us. now that chain reaction you talked about, that is very really and happening now. up goes the price of gas, that raises the cost of transportation, putting goods into the grocery store. it takes consumers money away from them, they can t spend it. up goes the price of travel, leisure, hotels, airline fees fares have already gone up so ....
Spot on with that, you know, i can t think the voters in new hampshire are dying to get a 9% increase in sales tax because it s zero up there. income tax code down to 9%, though. a lot of people would like to see their taxes and me being one of them is flattened and simplified this tax system that we ve got but the idea that we re going to keep that in place and add $0.09 of sales tax, americans, i m going to suggest to you, are going to push back on that. it s a catchy slogan but when you really look at the details, americans are not going to buy into or trust washington, d.c. to leave that nine in any of those three places so you need a balanced budget amendment. quit spending the money. that s the real issue. like we did in texas, we ve kept our spending under control. had a tax system of fair regulatory climate, fair and predictable and a legal system ....
Million. if you made a million dollars, you d be taxed $0.09 on it. now if you take the ocean and the atmosphere together, the human contribution is so tiny you can t even measure it. besides, there s a problem with all of this. one, c02 continues to go up if you look at this graphic and the temperatures have levelled off completely. how is it if c02 is continuing to increase and the temperature is not levelling off and starting to turn around is c02 responsible? by the way, greenhouse gases, there s another term for them. it s called plant food. so my motto on this fourth of july is grill a steak, grill a hamburger and help the trees out. that s what i want to say. how do you grill guilt free? you simply grill and eat whatever is in front of you. what s their reason? what i personally think there s an agenda behind it. first of all, i think the whole global warming agenda is behind it. secondly, you know, there are ....
now that we ve talked about that, who s hungry? me. there s apparently now an obscure new york sales tax where if you buy a bagel here in new york, it costs you on average a dollar. right? but if you simply ask for the bagel to be sliced, ok, it s $1.08. can we play act? steve, i d like a bagel but i d like it sliced. ok. that s an extra $0.08. there s a new york tax that kicks in, it s for labor. look how hard this is. it s exhausting! steve, $0.08, coming your way. put it in the coffers. that s odd. gave me $0.09. it s amazing. you get change back. because steve was caught one time running with scissors, we give him a plastic utensil. that was terrible. i want my $0.08 back. do you want a smear? i really don t. got to be an easier way. as steve focuses on breakfast, we focus on what s coming our way. a warning for anyone who drives an s.u.v.? ....
