Four fatal plane crashes in two months in Jacksonville area
Four aircraft accidents in Northeast Florida in the past two months have one thing in common — all were fatal to the pilots and passengers on board, leaving a total of eight dead. Two of them involved an instructor and passenger, one of those a young student pilot from Fernandina Beach, according to the National Transportation Safety Board. The board's new preliminary report for the latter June 18 crash in the St. Marys River indicates that the Cessna 150L's engine was still on when it hit the water shortly after 11 a.m. But there is still no information of what caused instructor...
