QB Robert Griffin III among four waived by Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens waived quarterback Robert Griffin III along with three other players Monday, while also signing 11 players to reserve/future deals.
Griffin, who spent the past three seasons as a Lamar Jackson's backup, ended the year on injured reserve and was slated to become a free agent in March.
The 2012 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year with Washington, went 8-of-14 passing for 42 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions this season. He played in four games, including one start -- a 19-14 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Dec. 2 that Jackson missed because he was on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

The Baltimore Ravens on Monday waived several players, including quarterback Robert Griffin III, and running back Mark Ingram posted farewell messages on his social media accounts.
Several days after suffering a 17-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the playoffs, the Ravens are in the midst of tweaking their roster at the onset of the offseason. Baltimore waived Griffin, cornerbacks Tramon Williams and DaVontae Harris and wide receiver De’Anthony Thomas on Monday.

Carbondale United presents "Raising Boys to Men"

CARBONDALE (WSIL)-- The 'Raising Boys to Men' Virtual Webinar took place Thursday at 6 pm.
The event held over Zoom and had panelists such as local professional athletes from the NBA and NFL, like Aaron Adeoye of Marion, as well as professional Actor Jonathon Booker, also from Marion and entrepreneurs.
The event is geared to allow young men to ask the Panelists what steps they can take to achieve their own goals.
"They'll get to ask them questions about maybe the difficulties they had, reaching the point that they are at now or any other questions. Just kinda like a sit down," said event organizer Nancy Maxwell.
