Surf lifesaving carnival comes to Nelson as patrol keeps weather eye
People enjoy a sunny day in the sea at Tahunanui Beach. The 2021 carnival is a clear signal summer is in full swing and the need for care in the water. The public can expect to see lifeguards on duty at Tahuna each weekend and on public holidays until the end of March. Patrols are scheduled for Saturdays (1-5pm) and Sundays along with public holidays (10am-5pm) up until the end of January. From then on, patrols will run on Sundays and public holidays only between 10am and 5pm.
