Effective January 20, 2024, the National Intellectual Property Administration of China (CNIPA) will enforce a significant update to its patent regulations.

China’s National Intellectual Property Administration, CNIPA will be closed from January 21, 2023 through January 27, 2023 for the Spring Festival Holiday. Trademark deadlines will only be extended to January 28, 2023 while patent deadlines will be extended to January 30, 2023.
China National Intellectual Property Administration CNIPA will be closed October 1, 2022 to October 7, 2022 for Chinese National Day holiday. All official patent deadlines on those dates will be automatically extended to October 10, 2022.
