A man sentenced to prison for a crime he didn't commit studied to become a lawyer while in prison and helped secure his own freedom, and Isaac Wright Jr.'s real life-story is the inspiration for the ABC drama "For Life."
This season, the central character is navigating the times in which we live, after a summer of discontent in the year of COVID.
And it rises to the moment.
"It just lined up for us to offer the show that was conceptually the right show at the right time," executive producer Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson said.

"American Idol" is returning on Sunday evening, and this season is going to be dramatically different from any we've seen before.
The three all-star judges -- Lionel Ritchie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan -- are back, and they're hinting we may even see some of the contestants from last season again.
Idol has already caused a sensation on social media, and the season hasn't even started yet.
In the promos airing now, 16-year-old Claudia Conway is shown saying, "I'm very nervous, but very excited."
Conway is the daughter of former President Donald Trump's controversial former Senior Counselor Kellyanne Conway. The teen has 1.7 million followers on TikTok, but she insists auditioning for Idol is not a publicity stunt.

Now in its 5th season, "American Housewife" has hit its stride thanks to stars Katy Mixon and Diedrich Bader who play Katie and Greg Otto respectively.
This week, Katie's mentor and dear friend Tami played by Holly Robinson Peete moves to Westport!
"It's a great time for us to expand the cast and she's such a vet and such a beautiful human being and a warm, wonderful presence on the show," Bader said of Pete.

A new ABC primetime game show called "The Hustler" features a group of contestants trying to decide between them the answers to multiple choice questions.
The idea is to come to a group decision, while host Craig Ferguson jokes and moves the action along.
However, there's a big twist -- one of the players knows all the answers.
No one else does.
Not even Ferguson.
"I'm playing the game with everyone else," he said. "The Hustler is the person who, through a series of questions that are set out, tries to conceal their identity until the end. If they can do that, they'll win a whole bunch of money. And if the two remaining contestants can figure out who the Hustler is, they split the money. But either way it's a lot of money."
