    The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed the appeal filed by the Nigerian government to challenge the Court of Appeal’s acquittal of the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godsday Orubebe, on the alleged violation of the Code of Conduct for public officers. The government’s appeal was dismissed in a judgment on Friday. A five-member panel of the Supreme Court held that the appeal was incompetent.
