YOURSAY | Loke appears hot favourite for DAP sec-gen’s post Modified4:51 am The Wakandan: Mild-mannered Anthony Loke is a diplomat compared to the fiery Lim Guan Eng. In terms of getting things done, both have their own good and bad points, which entirely depends on the time and place that their attributes would be most appropriate. However, the DAP change of guard can be a good thing to avoid being dominated by the same leadership perpetually and to allow new leaders, ideas and styles to prevail. FellowMalaysian: Loke isn't picked to become the next DAP leader overnight as there is no shortage of able leaders capable of helming and taking the party to the next generation.
YOURSAY | Can Anwar rise from the ashes? A VP Biden: I concur with you, Teluk Intan MP Nga Kor Ming. For the past 20 years, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim did not sell his soul to the other side. He held steadfast to the mandate that was given by the rakyat to PKR and Pakatan Harapan. This is unlike the treacherous Bersatu lot and the old man's blue-eyed boy who was sabotaging PKR from the inside. Anwar’s children are ordinary citizens not sitting on any boards and drawing fat allowances like the others. In Nurul Izzah, he has a worthy successor when the time comes.
IPOH: Nga Kor Ming has been re-elected as Perak DAP chairman. This was following the landslide win during the state party polls that was held in conjunction with the 19th Perak DAP convention here on Sunday (March 14). Nga, who is also national DAP deputy secretary-general, and 14 others from his team polled more than 1,100 votes each. National party assistant organising secretary and Kampar MP Thomas Su only got 550 votes. Nga and fellow national party deputy secretary-general V. Sivakumar, who is Batu Gajah MP, both polled highest with 1,228 votes. In expressing his thanks to the delegates, Nga also announced the re-election of Sivakumar as the state party deputy chairman.
