Miya museum sealed: The special director general of Assam Police GP Singh took to Twitter and said that the two leaders will be questioned about their links with activities of terrorist outfits Ansarullah Bangla Team and Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had earlier criticised the Museum, saying cultural artifacts being displayed represented Assamese identity as a whole and not that of the state's Bengali-speaking Muslim community.
The president and general secretary of Assam Miya Parishad were arrested along with three others for their alleged association with terror outfits under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, police said on Wednesday.
