Bids For Garfield Water Main Project Come In $100,000 Under Estimate
The Lake City Council has accepted a bid for a proposed water main improvement project $100,000 below the initially estimated cost for the work. City officials reviewed bids at their Dec. 21 meeting from 11 companies interested in extending and reconnecting the buried lines on Garfield Street near Goins Park. Administrator, Eric Wood, says the council was initially dubious of the lower-than-expected proposals.
