Longtime Los Lunas economic development manager is retiring

LOS LUNAS — Ralph Mims had a hand in growing the village of Los Lunas.
Mims, who has been the economic development manager for the past nine years, brought industry businesses such as manufacturing, retail and food services to the village. But now, Mims is retiring after having spent 25 years working between the village and the city of Albuquerque, where he spent 16 years before his time in Los Lunas.
Ralph Mims
“It was a pleasure working for the village of Los Lunas,” Mims said.
Quoting the village’s motto, he added, “Small Community, Big Possibilities. We have a good staff — our elected body is pro-growth, pro-economic development. I think [the village] has a good future ahead of them.”
