The annual Kaira Looro Competition – now in its fourth edition – invites students and young architects to draw up concepts for a new 200m
2 flexible complex which could host workshops for 10-15 people along with exhibitions and other humanitarian activities.

The ‘Women’s House’ project, backed by Italian non-profit organisation Balouo Salo, aims to deliver a new ‘symbolic and environmentally friendly’ single-storey, self-build structure which harnesses locally sourced materials and sustainable methods and is designed to reflect local traditions.
