Harnessing redox proteomics to study metabolic regulation and stress response in lignin-fed Rhodococci | Biotechnology for Biofuels and Bioproducts
Rhodococci are studied for their bacterial ligninolytic capabilities and proclivity to accumulate lipids. Lignin utilization is a resource intensive process requiring a variety of redox active enzymes and cofactors for degradation as well as defense against the resulting toxic byproducts and oxidative conditions.
