Jacques Ruffin, 21, was accused of taking part in the fatal shooting of a Norfolk man at Mariner's Watch Apartments in June 2021. A jury acquitted him of first-degree murder and illegal use of a handgun charges but found him guilty of possessing a stolen gun.
"It took the jury only three hours to acquit him. So, the jury believed his story," KOAT legal expert John Day said.
