Having been awarded the prestigious Active Flag for its work in creating a physically active school community, Danescastle National School invited none other than Santa Claus to hoist the flag just before Christmas. In addition to raising the flag, which is a Department of Education initiative supported by Healthy Ireland, Santa also brought presents for all the children who performed a Christmas dance before Bualadh Bos/Jingle Bells.
