Sun has explosive 24 hours of powerful solar flares
Over a period of 24 hours, the Sun produced three intense solar flares. The most intense was determined to be an X6.3. Two others ranked as an X1.7 and an X1.8. None of the events were accompanied by coronal mass ejections (CMEs), so impacts on Earth were reported to be limited.
