The creator of Kodi repository TVAddons has agreed to pay $19.5 million over a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by Canadian telecom giants.
Last week Kodi addons repository TVAddons threw in the towel following a long running piracy lawsuit, with founder Adam Lackman agreeing to pay damages of $19.5 million.
Pressure on Lackman began in June 2017 when his home was raided by the telecom giants via a secret court order. A lawsuit was then filed.
The long-running copyright lawsuit filed by Bell Canada, TVA, Videotron, and Rogers against former Kodi addon repository TVAddons is now over.
