NUDP : Officials Concentrate On Field Visits
Party officials of the
National Union for Democracy and Progress (NUDP) are dedicating resources and personnel to field visits in the Adamawa, North and Far North Regions of the country. Though more intense in the three aforementioned regions at the moment, the activity is programmed and takes place in all regions across the country. The field visits, party officials note, are geared at recruiting new members into the party, encouraging those of voting age who meet the conditions to have themselves enlisted on voters’ registers, and consolidating conquered territories. The
reintroduction of multiparty politics in Cameroon in 1990 ushered in a new dawn in the
management of State affairs,  departing from the hitherto monolithic management by the former unique party the
Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) to the many political parties taking part in management. The first experience of sharing the ministerial positions between political parties in the country came after the October 11, 1992 presidential election in which incumbent President PauL Biya the candidate of the ruling CPDM was declared the winner. NUDP : Preparations To Evaluate, Improve Structures
The National Union for Democracy and Progress (NUDP) is preparing to win more victories in future elections.
Judging from the results of the February 9, 2020 twin legislative and municipal council elections and the election of Regional Councillors that took place on December 6, 2020, the National Union for Democracy and Progress is the second political party in Cameroon coming after the ruling Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM).Lire aussi : Nécrologie: André Tsala Messi est mort
NUDP is the only opposition political party that is controlling the bureau of a Regional Council, indeed, the Adamawa Regional Council. Information from the Communication Department of the party indicates that it also has two members each in the North and Far North Regional Councils. The party controls 17 municipal councils, have six seats in the     National Assembly and two appointed Senators. The National Communication Secretary of the National Union for Democracy and Progress, Saidou Maidadi told Cameroon Tribune that with the victories, the party plans to evaluate its grassroots structures in order to determine the necessary improvements to be carried out while waiting to renew them after its ordinary congress.
