A century ago, a group of Japanese immigrants settled down to farm and live in towns in western Nebraska. They made common cause with their white farmer neighbors, built community hubs and celebrated Japanese culture and heritage. Now, historians are making sure the history of the generation that lived through the era of internment camps isn't forgotten.
