Brasserie Benelux opening in Saratoga this month
A European restaurant called Brasserie Benelux is in the final weeks of development at 390 Broadway in Saratoga Springs, former home to Braeburn Tavern, The Crown Grill and Brindisi’s Restaurant.
An opening in late March is projected.
The owner is Armand VanderStigchel, a chef who has written books
including “Wings Across America,” “Adirondack Cookbook” and “Adirondack Cuisine.” The latter was also a five-part series on the Plattsburgh PBS affiliate. VanderStigchel said he has consulted at restaurants in New York City, but this is his first involvement locally and first venture as a proprietor. He said he recently moved to Saratoga and has had a second home in Queensbury for 20 years.
